I am so excited about this news.

My good friend Gail Dosik, the one and only One Tough Cookie, will be coming to DC in December and I’ve roped her into teaching a couple of classes. I just love Gail, and I know you will, too. She’s smart and savvy and clever and makes the most beautiful, DELICIOUS, decorated cookies I’ve ever had.

Stop being intimidated by piping, flooding, icing, and decorating! Gail says it’s easy to make great looking cookies.  In this class, you will learn from the best in the business, One Tough Cookie. We’ll all be decorating holiday cookies using her special techniques, learn  how to make a fabulous, flawless icing, and get hands on experience with those pesky little icing bags and tips.

($125.00 includes bags, colorings, tips and cookies)
Saturday, December 10 3p-6p (by invitation only)
Sunday, December 11 11a-2p

This class is limited to nine students, so sign up soon. To register, send an email – first come, first served. I’ll get back to you with details about the registration. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.

Speaking of great culinary education, check out what Kate Hill is doing in Sherwood Forest. She’s going to be offering butchery and charcuterie classes at the School of Artisan Food. So, learn in Gascony, or learn in the UK. Tough choice, right?

In the meantime, I’ve just returned from a heavenly vacation in Germany and France. Once I get my bearings and stop waking up at 4am, I’ll post some pictures and tell you some stories.

Also coming soon – recipes for homemade bloody mary mix, tomato jam and roasted poblano salsa. It’s tomato season and I’m up to my eyeballs in tomatoes.
